A well-connected Central Scotland town with two canals, big sculptures and fast trains.
Falkirk sits almost exactly between Edinburgh and Glasgow, with frequent trains to both from two town-centre stations. That makes it an easy base for exploring the central belt without staying in a city.
The town is best known for The Kelpies and The Helix parkland, and for the Falkirk Wheel, the rotating boat lift that links the Forth & Clyde and Union canals. Callendar House and its wooded park sit right beside the centre.
Most of our stays are at Laurieston Inn, a small guest house in Laurieston on the south-east side of the town; we also have a self-contained house elsewhere in Falkirk.
